Description

'Nan's Cottage' is a traditional old world cottage located half a mile from the picturesque and historical town of Irishtown.

Irishtown is famed as the home of the Land League, an organisation founded by Michael Davitt, which led to widespread land reform throughout Ireland in the late 1800's.

The cottage itself is situated off the main road, down a quiet rustic old boreen (little road). Only half a mile from the cottage there are 3 Castlerea lakes suitable for coarse fishing - stands are provided and footbridges available free of charge.

A 10 minute drive will take you to Claremorris which has an 18 hole golf course, horse riding School of Equitation, swimming pool and leisure facilities.
